How my UX path started...
As a graduate of Interaction Design, I once imagined my career as creating cool interactive installations that deliver novel experiences.
However, during an exchange program in Seoul, the unfamiliar environment prompted me to shifted my focus to understanding the inconveniences of daily life and how people solve them, which led me to the path of UX design.
About my career and values...
I’m interested in many industries and eager to experience the full development cycle—from research and hypothesis to design, development, testing, and iteration.
When transitioning through my career, I consciously chose companies of different sizes and industries. As a result, I’ve worked in startups, large corporations, and nonprofit organizations, which have helped me quickly adapt to diverse industries and company cultures.
By switching between industries, I’ve learned how to efficiently understand the unique challenges and domain knowldge of each field. I see myself as a strong team player, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and marketers to ensure everyone’s perspectives are considered.
By sharing research, design concepts, and prototypes, I help teams build consensus and maximize design impact.
Outside of work...
I’m passionate about East Asian arts, especially seal engraving and mineral painting. Selling my creations during the pandemic led me to explore simple solutions for small businesses.
Although this side project is small in scale, it has given me a deeper understanding of customer needs, marketing strategies, and management skills from a business perspective.
